New Sub-stream of 408 Visa for Covid-19 pandemic Temporary Worker Visa

SC408- Covid-19 Pandemic Sub-stream

Australian Government has recently announced a new stream under the SC408 Stream visa for workers who are working in critical sectors including healthcare, disability, and aged care, childcare, and agriculture during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Endorsement/Sponsorship not required

You do not need to be endorsed in writing to apply for the COVID-10 Pandemic event visa. Covid-19 Pandemic visa will only available to people who are onshore and have 28 days or less remaining on their current visa or were their last substantive visa has expired up to 28 days previously.

You still need to meet health, character requirement. And must be able to support yourself and your dependents and must organize health insurance.

Cost

There is no visa application cost for this visa.

Stay

For the duration of this pandemic or up to 4 years if you are an organization.

Processing time

Department has not provided any indication on processing time for this visa.
